HOBOKEN, N.J. (March 4, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team went from No. 40 to No. 31 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association
national rankings.
The ITA ranking is the highest for the Ducks since they opened the 2014 season at No. 27.
The jump comes on the heels of the Ducks impressive 7-2 victory over then No. 38 Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Stevens trailed 2-1 after doubles in the match, but took all six singles matches to clinch the convincing win.
Stevens' only two losses have come in 6-3 defeats to then No. 15 University of Mary Washington and No. 26 Denison University, while its other win came against newly minted No. 31 North Carolina Wesleyan College.
The Ducks continue their grueling schedule Saturday when they travel to No. 27 Swarthmore College for a 1 p.m. match.
