Bombers Win; Nazareth Defeated
ITHACA
The Ithaca College men's tennis team won five of six singles matches and that keyed a 6-3 win over Bloomsburg on Monday afternoon at Bluffton High School in South Carolina. The victory improved Ithaca's record to 2-2-1 on the season and Bloomsburg is 1-2.
Ithaca trailed 2-1 after doubles play with the victory coming from
Chris Hayes and
Lorenzo Viguie-Ramos at second doubles.
The Bombers were down 3-1 early in singles play after Bloomsburg won a match by injury retirement, but Ithaca won the remaining five singles matches.
Brandon Buksbaum started the streak with a 7-5, 6-0 win at sixth singles and was followed by Hayes with a 6-3, 6-0 win at third singles that tied the team match. Ithaca closed things out with wins by
Nate Wolf,
Wes Davis and
Jack Melhorn.

Hilton Head, S.C.-- The Golden Flyers suffered a 8-1 loss to the Millsaps Majors this morning.
Nazareth had a strong showing early in the match, but were only able to gain one point. The duo of
Matt Jennings and
Brian Rosiek pulled out a solid 8-6 win over Avinash Ananth and Cameron Doles gaining the Flyers lone point for the match. At second doubles, sophomore
Christian Bryant and junior
Scott Trobert were edged out by Emerson Brundick and Charles Rees with a score of 9-7.
In singles,

James Deane suffered a 6-0, 6-1 loss at second, fourth, and sixth singles respectively. Junior Jared Scharza had a strong showing at fifth singles, but was defeated 6-3, 6-1. At first singles, junior
Tyler Williams lost to Carles Rees 6-3, 6-0. Senior
Matt Jennings was defeated by Alex Centarion 6-1, 6-0.
