ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth senior Michaela Gildemeyer was among the top performers Saturday as the Golden Flyers hosted more than 30 teams at the ROC City Classic at Golden Flyer Stadium.

Nazareth senior Michaela Gildemeyer was among the top performers for the women's team as she finished first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.01. Senior Hannah Brackley also ran well by finishing second in the 200-meter dash (:26.05) and third in the 400-meter dash (:59.02). Similar to the men's 4 x 400 relay team, the women's team also edged the school record with a first-place time of 4:01.36. It beat the 2013 record of 4:01.44. In the 4 x 800 event, Nazareth was sixth with a time of 10:40.92.

Additional top performers for the women's team included junior Taylor Pierson, who finished second in the long jump (5.15 meters or 16 feet, 10 3/4 inches) and fifth in the 100-meter dash (:13.21); junior Gabrielle LeBihan and sophomore Emily Thompson, who finished sixth and eighth respectively in the 1,500-meter run with times of 5:00.27 and 5:03.18; freshman Samantha Goble, who was fifth in the 400-meter dash (1:01.51); and senior Sibongile Chisi, who finished fifth in the pole vault (2.85 meters or 9 feet 4 1/4 inches).

The Golden Flyers also performed well in the high jump and triple jump events. In the high jump, freshman Emily Soeder was second with a mark of 1.52 meters (4 feet, 11 7/8 inches), and senior Kate Durr was third after recording a height of 1.47 meters (4 feet, 9 7/8 inches). Amanda Entress was eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.35 meters (33 feet, 11 1/2 inches).


Taylor Youngkrans highlighted the day in the hammer throw, crushing the school record she previously set last week. The senior threw 50.39 meters for first place overall and the No. 6 ranking among Division III.

In other field events, Paige Willson threw 30.26 meters in the javelin throw for second place. Willson, a senior, also placed second in the shot put with 12.28 meters. 

Morgan MastinSammy Van Gee and Lisa Knab finished in fifth place in their respective events. Mastin recorded 26.77 seconds in the 200-meter dash, Van Gee completed the 1.500-meter run in 4:58.54, and Knab kept 1.47 meters in the high jump.

Miasia Hillman a senior on the Alfred University track and field team, won the 100-meter dash to lead a contingent of AU women at the Nazareth College outdoor invitational Saturday.
 
There were no team scores. Hillman won the 100-meter dash in 12.41 seconds as three Saxon women turned in top-five finishes.
 
Freshman Brynn Hyde was fourth in the discus (35.38 meters) and seniorCorine Pettit was fifth in the triple jump (10.52 meters).
 
Sophomore Mary Baughman was 11th in the 1,500-meter run (5:07.08).

The team of Rebekah WhiteJoanna Friesen ,Katrina Relyea and Nikki Garns ran to a first place finish in the 3200 meter relay to lead Houghton College at the ROC City Classic hosted by Nazareth College on Saturday.

Garns also earned a third place result in the javelin (28.65 meters), while Friesen also turned in a seventh place finish in the 1500 meters (5:01.05). Cara Davenport  finished third in the 10k in a time of 41:24.43.
