National Rankings for Golden Flyers and Bombers
The Nazareth College and Ithaca College men's lacrosse teams remain ranked in both the USILA Division III Coaches Poll and the Lacrosse Magazine Division III Men's Top 20.
Nazareth is 14th in both rankings, which were released on Monday, April 13. The Golden Flyers remain the only unbeaten team in the Empire 8 at 5-0. They are 10-3 overall.
Ithaca is 17th in the USILA rankings and 18th in the Lacrosse Magazine standings. The Bombers are currently 9-4 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.
The initial release of the NCAA Division III Regional Rankings will be issued later this week. The NCAA regional rankings are developed by the regional committees and are based on the same criteria used to evaluate teams for at-large berths in the NCAA tournament.
Nazareth travels to nationally-ranked Cortland for a non-conference game Wednesday at 4 p.m. and then closes out the regular season with three conference games, beginning with Saturday's home game against Stevens at 12 p.m.
Ithaca plays its next two games at home against Empire 8 opponents, Hartwick and Alfred. On Saturday, April 18, the Bombers will celebrate senior day before taking on the Hawks at noon. Ithaca will then face the Saxons on Wednesday, April 22, at 4 p.m.
