Ducks Win Two; Saxons Edge Cardinals
STEVENS
The Stevens Institute of Technology men's tennis team continued its dominance over the Empire 8 Conference Saturday with a pair of 9-0 wins over Hartwick College and Utica College.
The wins pushed Stevens' record to 14-5 and extended its win streak to nine.

The Ducks jumped out to the commanding lead thanks to a sweep at doubles. Sophomore
Charles Drake and freshman
Danny Polk won 8-3 at No. 1 while sophomore
Antonio Perich and junior
Tyler Tisdale won a 8-2 at No. 2.
Junior
Jacob Thigpen and freshman
David Schulz also did their part in the sweep with a quick 8-1 win at No. 3. The win was the third of season for the Stevens pair together.
The winning continued for Stevens in singles with sophomore
Michael Feldman, Drake and freshman
William Persson winning their respecting matches in straight sets.
Schulz, Perich and Tisdale rounded out the Stevens win with commanding wins in their matches in which none dropped a set.

Polk and Drake teamed up for the second time on the day with an 8-1 win at first doubles while Perich and Tisdale, and freshman
Kyle Henry and Thigpen each won 8-0 at second and third doubles respectively.
The Ducks continued their dominance in singles with Polk, Henry, Persson, Perich, and Tisdale each winning their matches in straight sets.
The win was Polk's 10
th of the season at singles while Perich and Henry each won their sixth.
Feldman also did his part in the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 for his ninth victory of the season.
ALFRED v ST. JOHN FISHER
The Alfred University men's tennis team was lifted up and over St. John Fisher College Saturday afternoon at the William T. Brown Tennis Courts when
Patrick Brown (Olean, NY/Olean) won No. 6 singles in three sets and gave the Saxons the 5-4 Empire 8 win.
Brown topped Kyle Stich 6-4, 3-6, 7-3 as they were the last players on the courts. The Saxons (9-3, 3-2 Empire 8) were paced in singles with the wins coming at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 before Brown earned his 'W'.
Michael Graham (Elmira, NY/Southside) earned a three-set win over Jacob Zarzycki 6-1, 3-6, 7-5 at No. 3.
Kevin Volz (Olean, NY/Olean) picked up a win at No. 4 over Adam Moran with a score of 6-2, 7-6 while
Matt Baloga (Goshen, NY/Goshen) topped Vichaka Khoy 6-0, 6-3 at the five's spot.
Baloga teamed with Brown earlier at No. 3 doubles, getting the Saxons their first win of the day over the Cardinals (6-7, 3-2 Empire 8). The duo defeated Stich and Dan Tedesco 8-5.
