Women’s Track & Field at Ithaca Invite
RESULTS
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team hosted its annual Tuesday Meet with four other schools, including Houghton College, at Butterfield Stadium. There was no team scoring recorded at the meet.
Ithaca won 12 of 18 events on the day and placed at least one individual or relay within the top three in each event.
Houghton's Joanna Friesen won the 800 in 2:21.79, while Nikki Garns took first in the javelin with a throw of 30.12 meters to lead the women. Garns also finished third in the 200 meters (27.25), while Rebekah White took second in the 400 meter hurdles (1:08.50). Also turning in a strong performance was Kate Taggart, who ran to a personal best 2:28.50 in the 800.

Kristina Stockburger (hammer throw, 45.14 meters), the 4x100-meter relay "A" team (50.15 seconds) and the 4x400-meter relay "A" team (4:33.74) all recorded first place finishes for Ithaca.

Benway and Stockburger also qualified for ECAC's in the 100 hurdles and hammer throw. Lu also competed in the discus and placed second with a distance of 37.92 meters to qualify for ECAC's.
Freshman
Katherine Pitman met ECAC standards with a mark of 3.67 meters to place second in overall.
Junior
Christine Kelly and sophomore
Colleen Smith placed second and third overall in the 100 with times of 13:02 and 13.12 seconds. Junior
Emily Williams ran a time of 27.22 seconds in the 200 to finish second, while Fay (2:24.68) and sophomore
Rachelle Sartori (2:25.40) took second and third in the 800.
In the 1,500, sophomore
Michaela Cioffredi and freshman
Georgia Caplen took second and third in times of 5:14.16 and 5:28.09. Sophomores
Emily Drain and Christina Gibble clocked times of 41:48.25 and 41:56.92 in the 10K and came in second and third. Freshman
Amber Edwards crossed in second in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.36 seconds and junior
Allie Nugent posted a time of 16.60 seconds which was good for third.
The "B" and "C" teams took second in third in the 4x100 with times of 52.24 and 53.03 seconds. The "B" squad featured Williams, Edwards, Nugent and freshman Emily Scognamiglio. The "C" team featured freshman

Freshmen
Grace Ryan and
Brianna Hayes both cleared 1.40 meters in the high jump to take second and third. Scognamiglio also entered the long jump and took second with a leap of 4.43 meters, while Williams measured 10.15 meters in the triple jump to finish as a runner-up.
Sophomore
Francesca Boylan and senior
Corrine Taylor competed in the shot put and posted marks of 11.07 meters and 10.66 meters to place two-third. Boylan took second in the javelin with a mark of 29.73 meters, while senior
Gena Bradshaw finished in third at 25.14 meters.
Reagan came in third in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:12.09, while freshman
Caitlin Noonan also placed third in the hammer with a distance of 40.38 meters.
