2015 Women's Lacrosse Tournament Quick Facts and Live Coverage
The 2015 Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) Women's Lacrosse Tournament is set to take place this weekend, with four teams battling for a chance to win the postseason conference championship and earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship. The playoffs begin Saturday, May 2 with two semifinal matches held on the campus of top-seeded Nazareth College and the Championship will take place on Sunday, May 3.

Tournament History
Before the action begins, here are some quick facts you should know about the conference tournament. (
*Quick facts will be based on the current tournament format years 2004-2015).
The Empire 8 will employ a four team tournament format for the 12
th straight year. Prior to the 2004 tournament, the E8 champion was determined based on the regular season finish.
All four teams that qualified for the last three E8 Tournaments (2012, 2013, 2014) return again this season.
The tournament has played out according to seeding twice (2004 and 2005).
Nazareth will serve as the No. 1 seed for the fifth time, and first time since 2008.
The #1 seed is 9-2 in the semifinal game of the tournament. #2 seed (8-3), #3 seed (3-8), #4 seed (2-9).
The #1 seed has won the conference championship four times (2004, 2005, 2006, 2011).
The #2 seed has won the title four times (2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014)
The #3 seed has never won the conference title.
The #4 seed has won the title twice (2008, 2009).
Nazareth last won the E8 championship in 2006.
Ithaca has played in the championship game eight times and won on two occassions (2004 & 2008). The Bombers finished as the runner-up the last five years.
Stevens has made the conference tournament each year since joining the Empire 8 in the 2007-08 season and won the championship in 2010 and 2011.
St. John Fisher is the three-time defending champion and looking for its sixth title in program history.
Nazareth is 6-9 all-time in tournament games including 1-5 against Ithaca, 1-3 against Fisher and they have never played Stevens.
Ithaca is 10-7 in E8 post-season play with a 5-1 mark aganist Nazareth, 1-4 against Fisher and 3-2 against Stevens.
Stevens is 5-5 all-time in the tournament with a 2-3 record against Ithaca and 1-2 mark against Fisher. The Ducks have never played the Golden Flyers in the post-season.
Fisher is 10-4 in the post season, including a 3-1 record against Nazareth, 4-1 against Ithaca and 2-1 against Stevens.
