Stevens Places Fifth At Ramapo Invitational

MAHWAH, N.J. (April 4, 2015) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's outdoor track and field participated in the Ramapo College Invitational on Saturday, with the men's placing fifth.
The fifth place finish was the highest finish by a Division III school, while the women placed 13, two points ahead of NYU.

Tanner Lyons and senior
Benny Scotto finished 1-2-3 in the javelin, with Caplan recording a personal best 52.03 in the javelin. Sophomore

Louis Stengel finished first and second in the 800-meter with sophomore
Michael John and junior
Zach McKeehan also finishing in the top-10. Senior
Cory Zegel broke the school record in the weight throw, while junior
Shane Chiaravalle placed second in the 400 hurdles.
"This was a solid meet and we showed some progress from last week," said head coach
Justin Wood. "Bucknell will be the first true test of the season and we are expecting big results."
The squad will be in action next weekend as they travel to the Bucknell Bison Classic beginning Saturday at 10 a.m.
