HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Ithaca College senior golfer Sharon Li competed in the third round of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship on Thursday at the Mission Inn Resort on the El Campeon Course. Li shot a 76 on the third day of competition, pushing her three-day 54-hole total to 17-over-par 233. Li now has sole possession of sixth place on the individual leaderboard. She trails leader McKenzie Ralston of Mary Hardin-Baylor by just nine strokes.

Li opened play on the course's 10th hole, where she made the first of three-straight pars. She followed with a bogey on the 13th hole and double bogey on 14, before hitting two more pars. Li then made an eagle on the par-5 17th, marking her first of the week and sixth of the field at the NCAA Championship. Li closed out her first nine holes with another par, giving her an outgoing 37 (+1).

Li's momentum carried to the start of her second nine, as she shot for par on the first four holes. Three-straight bogeys pushed her to four-over-par. She then closed the round with pars on holes eight and nine, giving her a score of 39 on her second nine and a 4-over-par 76 on the day. Li's efforts once again marked one of the best finishes of the day, as only three other golfers shot better in the third round of play.

Li returns to action for the final day of competition at the NCAA Championship on Friday, May 15.
