Sharon Li Finishes Ninth At NCAA Golf Championship

Sharon Li concluded play at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship on Friday at the Mission Inn Resort. Li posted a score of 12-over-par 84 on the par-72 layout on the El Campeon Course, which played to 5,844 yards.
Li's score on the fourth day of competition pushed her 72-hole total to 29-over-par 317, ranking her ninth out of 110 entries. Li's ninth-place finish marks her best ever in NCAA play.
Li opened the final day with a birdie on the par-5 10th hole. She followed with two pars, two bogeys and a double bogey, before earning her second birdie of the round on the par-4 16th. Li closed her first nine with a par and a triple bogey, pushing her score to 41 (+5).
On the turn, Li hit another birdie on the par-5 first. She followed with a par, a bogey and a triple bogey before hitting three-straight pars. Li finished the round with a triple bogey and a bogey, giving her a second nine score of 7-over-par 43 and a round score of 84.
McKenzie Ralston of Mary Hardin-Baylor took the top individual spot. She shot a 5-over-par 301, which was 16 strokes ahead of Li. Williams took the team title, as the group earned a team score of 1263.
