Li and Wong Honored By WGCA

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced its 2015 All-America selections earlier this week, naming Ithaca senior Sharon Li to the second team. Li and sophomore Kimberley Wong, were also chosen to the WGCA Region 1/East Region Team.

Li has won three-consecutive Empire 8 individual titles, most recently taking the honor in the fall of 2014. She was named Division III Player of the Year last season and was honored on the Region 1/East Region Team. This year marks Li's third-straight All-America honor. She earned first team recognition in 2013 and 2014. She's recorded three top-20 finishes at the NCAAs and two top-10 finishes.

Wong also received WCGA Region 1/East Region Team honors, marking her first all-region selection. Wong earned two Empire 8 Women's Golf Athlete of the Week honors during the season. She recorded two top-three finishes, including the top spot at the Pat Clouse Invite where she medaled and led Ithaca to the tournament title. Wong was named Empire 8 Freshman of the Year last season.
