Nazareth Travels to Union for NCAA First Round Game

Nazareth's men's lacrosse team will travel to Schenectady Wednesday, May 6 to play at Union in a first-round NCAA Tournament game. Game time is 4 p.m.
Nazareth (15-4 and ranked 15th nationally) will be making its 21st NCAA appearance and ninth under the direction of head coachÂ
Rob Randall. The Golden Flyers gained an automatic berth by defeating Ithaca, 9-8, for their ninth Empire 8 Conferencen title. Union (13-4 and ranked 14th nationally) received one of six Pool C at-large berths to the 32-team tournament. The Dutchmen lost to top-ranked RIT, 25-14, in Sunday's Liberty League championship game. They are making their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance.
Nazareth holds a 2-1 lead in the overall series with Union, although the Dutchmen won the most recent meeting -- 15-7 in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Tournament.
This year's final is March 24 at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
