POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (May 1, 2015)
– The Stevens Institute of Technology men's track and field program turned in an impressive showing at the Matthew Vassar Twilight meet Friday.
 
Senior Robert Pinto dominated the high jump competition reaching a height of 2.07m. This leap not only defeated the field by .3 meters, he broke his own school record by .06cm and recorded the tenth highest jump in the Division III outdoor season to date and is on pace to qualify for the Outdoor Championships in three weeks.
 
Junior Issac Downey finished first in the 3,000m steeplechase, winning by almost nine seconds while sophomore Brian Fratto notched a first place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.11. Senior Kristopher Alvarez, freshman Zach Andrews and Fratto all tallied top-5 finishes in the 200m dash while Alvarez took home first in the 110-meter hurdles.
 
Freshman Nicholas Krute, sophomore Neil Forrester and freshman Parker Dimock all finished in the top-4 of the discus, while sophomores Daniel Jacome and Cody Yersin finished 1-2 in the hammer throw. Forrester, Jacome, and Dimock finished 2-3-4 in the shot put while senior David Krier took home first place in the javelin with freshman Tanner Lyons finishing right behind him in second place.
