Ithaca Falls to Bowdoin in NCAAs

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Ithaca College women's tennis team had its season come to an end at Bowdoin on Saturday in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship by a score of 5-0. With the loss, Ithaca finishes 2015 with a 14-9 overall record.

Bowdoin advances to the Round of 16 and will play Middlebury on Sunday.

Ithaca's first doubles team of Haley Kusak and Carly Siegel dropped an 8-1 decision. Allison Vizgaitis and Marni Blumenthal and second doubles lost by a score of 8-2, and third doubles – Alyssa Steinweis and Kelly Fishback were shutout, 8-0.

The Polar Bears secure the match of Ithaca with 6-0 sweeps at fifth and sixth singles.
