Heinrich and Foran Earn ITA All-America Honors
The Stevens Institute of Technology's rising seniors
Matthew Heinrich and Ben Foran were tabbed
Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Americans (ITA) to conclude the 2014-15 season.
Heinrich was tabbed as an ITA All-American at singles and doubles to go along with a doubles All-American nod for Foran. Both were previously named ITA All-Americans in the fall when Heinrich captured the ITA Northeast singles crown before taking the doubles championship with Foran.
The national recognition concludes another highly successful season for the Ducks that saw them capture a sixth straight Empire 8 Conference Championship, advancing them to a sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Stevens also recorded a program-record 19 wins in a grueling schedule that included 11 nationally ranked opponents.
As a team, the Ducks concluded its season ranked
No. 25 nationally according to the final ITA rankings of the 2014-15 campaign.
Heinrich was ranked No. 22 at singles, while Heinrich and Foran came-in at No. 19 at doubles. Both the individual and team rankings are program-highs to conclude a season.
