Regan Named Academic All-American
HOBOKEN, N.J. (June 24, 2015) – Rising senior
Amy Regan of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country and track and field teams was named a
First-Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Regan joins graduating senior
David Evans of the men's volleyball team and rising senior
Matthew Heinrich of the men's tennis program as CoSida Academic All-Americans for the 2014-15 year.
The Green Brook, N.J. native became the first collegiate runner in the state of New Jersey to win a national cross country championship, as she took home the title by six seconds. In the winter, she took home a pair of All-American honors by finishing second in the 5,000-meter run and 3,000m.
Regan boasts a perfect 4.0 grade point average as an engineering management major and also was named USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete of the Year, becoming the first runner from Stevens to take home this honor.
