Swimming & Diving Teams Take CSCAA Academic Honors

The Empire 8 Athletic Conference had two men's and five women's swimming and diving teams chosen as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for the 2015 spring semester.  More than 600 collegiate swimming and diving programs across all divisions were named Scholar All-America Teams, marking the highest total in the 30-year history of the honor.

The Team Scholar All America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the semester of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships (winter/spring).

The Ithaca College and Stevens Institute of Technology men's teams earned the distinction with a 3.40 and 3.22 gpa, respectively. 

On the women's side, Nazareth posted the top Empire 8 ranking with a 3.56 gpa. Ithaca (3.53), Hartwick (3.35), Alfred (3.24) and Stevens (3.21) also made the list.
