Stevens Men’s Golf Recieves GCAA Academic Honor
NORMAN, Okla. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team earned
President's Special Recognition as an All-Academic Team Wednesday, July 29 by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
The honor is given to teams throughout every NCAA division who've achieved a 3.5 GPA or better. Stevens was one of just eight DIII teams to earn the distinction, and the only team in the Empire 8 Conference to be named an All-Academic Team.
The award adds to the academic recognition the team already received during the spring when
Cameron Hill was named Stevens' male ECAC Robbins Scholar Athlete, an honor given to the senior with the highest cumulative GPA.
On the course this season, the Ducks finished fourth at the E8 Championship, while individually Hill took second and sophomore
Frank Szucs finished eighth.
