Baker And Denish Earn WGCA Academic Honors
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced its
All-American Scholars earlier this week. Ithaca's
Kelsey Baker and
Kyra Denish earned the honor, as the pair recorded over a 3.50 cumulative grade-point-average. Nearly 760 athletes across all divisions were honored.
Baker, a senior accounting major with a GPA of 4.0 this past season, shot a 79.94 average through 17 total rounds. She finished in the top-five three times, including a third-place finish at the Empire 8 Championship in the fall. Her best finish of the season was second out of 49 entries at the St. Lawrence Invitational, where she shot a collective 9-over par 153.
Denish, a freshman english/education major with a cumulative 3.683 grade-point-average, finished the season with one top-10 finish. She placed sixth at the Empire 8 Championship, and shot a 90.40 average throughout the season.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition.
