Rahmlow named sports information assistant
ROCHESTER, N.Y. --
Jeff Rahmlow, a Sports Information Staff Associate at St. John Fisher for the past two years, has been named Assistant Sports Information Director at Nazareth College.
A native of Honeoye Falls, N.Y., Rahmlow did work for Nazareth in 2012-13 on a contractual basis. At that time, he was responsible for shooting and editing sports video recaps that eventually were posted on the athletic department website. Those pieces included game highlights with voiceovers, graphics and interviews with players and coaches.
At St. John Fisher, Rahmlow helped to publicize the Cardinals' 23-sport varsity program. He helped expand the athletic department's social media outreach and created an Instagram account. He used his video expertise to produce a video for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony as well as season recaps for each team for display at the end-of-year senior awards banquet.
Rahmlow also has experience as the chief videographer for the Western New York Flash women's professional soccer team. His responsibilities included filming all home games, conducting postgame interviews and editing the content into postgame packages to be uploaded on to the Flash website.
Rahmlow earned his Bachelor's degree in Communications from SUNY Geneseo in 2010. He was a four-year member of the men's soccer team there and served as team captain as a senior in 2009. He also was a member of Exit 8, a co-ed acapella group.
He went on to serve as a graduate assistant at Canisius College, where he earned a Masters degree in Sports Administration in 2012. He went on to obtain a second Masters in Business Administration at St. John Fisher.
