Empire 8 Partners with Stretch Internet for Live Streaming
The Empire 8 Athletic Conference (E8) has signed a three-year agreement with Stretch Internet for all live video streaming beginning with the 2015-16 season.
“We are excited to announce this partnership with Stretch Internet”, E8 Associate Commissioner Janelle Zera said. "We believe Stretch will offer Empire 8 fans an enhanced, user-friendly and interactive online viewing experience.”
Fans will be able to access the live stream and live statistics via the official portal Stretch has developed for Empire 8 at
http://portal.stretchinternet.com/empire8/. The video-streaming network will be available on mobile devices, tablets and laptops.
"We're ecstatic to begin a partnership with the Empire 8," said Stretch Internet President & CEO Ryan Ermeling. "We've built a platform that's designed specifically for the needs of Division III conferences. The conference, the member institutions and their fans are going to enjoy a rich game-day experience that's unlike any other at this level."
Multi-view?One of the great features for fans in the league is the ability to watch multiple games at once via the same portal. Want to catch some of a football game and volleyball match at the same time? Utilize the picture-in-picture and multi-view features to watch up to four games at the same time!
Live Stats Integration?Stretch Internet has an extensive live stats interface to meet the needs of viewers. Viewers can still choose to watch a live feed while tracking the updated game situation and stats – but they can also choose to experience a rich, full-portal stats presentation, complete with team stats comparisons, trends, box scores and more.
Interactive?Watching a game (or games!) can become a communal experience, as fans can engage with others on the portal via either Empire 8 or school Twitter handles.
Anytime, Anywhere Fans can watch Empire 8 events on just about any device – computer, tablet, and phone – with a responsive experience customized for that particular medium.
