Elmira, NY -- Pat Thompson, Elmira College Vice President of Athletics, announced the appointment of Jerry Fisk as Assistant Athletic Director of Event & Facility Operations.  Fisk takes over for Michael Letzeisen, who after three years as the Assistant Director of Athletics & Murray Athletics Center Facility Manager, stepped down to assume a similar position at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

"Jerry will be a great addition to our administrative team" said Thompson.  "His energy and experience compliments our operations in addition to opening up new opportunities to enhance our athletics program."

"I am thrilled for the opportunity to join the Elmira College Athletic Department and work alongside such a talented staff and support EC's outstanding student-athletes" said Fisk.  "I am humbled to have been chosen by Vice President Thompson to fill this important role and look forward to growing under her leadership."

Fisk joins the Elmira College athletics staff after previously serving as the Associate Director for Affinity Engagement and Assistant Men's Golf Coach at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.  During his time at Hobart and William Smith, Fisk led a comprehensive fundraising program that was setup to engage former student-athletes, alumni, parents, and friends of the college.

His responsibilities also included scheduling and supervising facility usage for events, composing and distributing marking materials targeted at driving attendance for home events, and developing marking plans as well as starting new initiatives.  He also worked with SAA and the Heron Society Board of Directors to direct athletics as well as fundraise.

Fisk has also spent time with the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, working as the Sponsorship Manger for the 2013 National Senior Games.  He was responsible for building relationships with potential sponsors and raising funds to enhance the Senior Games.

Prior to working at the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, Fisk served as an Associate Director of Athletics at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, OH.  During his time with the Falcons, Fisk had a wide range of responsibilities including serving as the site administrator for all home athletic contests, conceiving and managing the athletic department budget, and working with multiple departments on campus to handle all athletic department and facility concerns.

Fisk's experience in college athletics also extends into the NAIA and NCAA Division I ranks.  In 2011, Fisk served as the Director of Marking and Operations for the Southern States Athletic Conference.  One of his main areas was managing staff to create and produce a conference television show that aired in over 12 million homes.  Prior to his time with the SSAC, Fisk spent two years working at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he worked his way from an Athletic Department Intern to the Director of Development and Member Relations.
