Rogers Named ECAC Administrator Of The Year 9/2/2015 9:45:00 AM DANBURY, Conn. – Stevens Institute of Technology Director of Athletics Russell Rogers has been named a Division III Administrator of the Year by the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Rogers is one of two DIII administrators to receive the award which encompasses six total winners from all three divisions. Under Rogers' leadership, Stevens successfully hosted the 2015 NCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship which resulted in the school's first NCAA national title. The department's overall success culminated in June with Stevens' 21st place finish in the 2015 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, making it the top performing program in the Empire 8 Conference. Stevens also captured its fourth consecutive CAANJ cup last fall, placing the department tops amongst the rest of the institutions in New Jersey. Rogers has also been an active administrator outside of Stevens, currently serving as the second vice president of the CAANJ while also being a member of the NCAA DIII men's volleyball national committee, the women's volleyball regional committee, and various other ECAC committees. Rogers will receive his award, along with the rest of the 2015 recipients, at the ECAC Honors Luncheon on Sep. 28 at the Matrix Conference & Banquet Center in Danbury, Conn.
