Hartwick wide receiver Brad Garcia, Alfred defensive tackle Andrew Miller and Utica defensive end Nick Woodman have been named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week after their performances over the weekend.

D3football.com is in its 17th season of selecting a National Team of the Week. The website staff selects players at each position from the top performances from across the country at the Division III level.

In Hartwick's 34-23 win against Wester Connecticut,  Garcia collected 255 yards and four touchdown scores on 12 receptions. He had scoring receoptions of 32, 66, 21 and 20 yards.

In Alfred's season-opening 39-25 win at Husson, Miller  had eight tackes (five solo, 2½ for loss, one sacks) and forced two fumbles. With Alfred trailing, 25-24, late in the third quarter, Miller forced a fumble and made the recovery at the Husson 15-yard line. One play later, AU scored and took the lead for good, at 32-25. His sack midway through the fourth forced a fumble AU recovered at the Husson 15-yard line, leading to a Saxon touchdown that closed out the game's scoring.

In the Pioneers' 42-28 win over Misericordia at home on Saturday, Woodman posted 1.5 sacks and added six tackles for the Pioneer defense. Woodman has tied UC alum and current assistant coach Tracy Branch for the school-record for career sacks (18.0).
