ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Nazareth closed out its home swimming and diving schedule in successful fasion Saturday as the Golden Flyers defeated visiting Utica. Senior Dan Burke set a pair of school records and freshman Robert Draper had another as Nazareth outscored Utica, 165-84, in the men's meet. The Golden Flyers improved to 4-3.

Burke broke his own pool and school records in the 100-meter backstroke with a winning time of :58.87. Burke and sophomore Alex LaPoint later waged a close battle in the 200-meter IM with Burke touching out LaPoint to win the race in 2:13.39. LaPoint's time of 2:13.54 also broke the pool and school marks set by LaPoint earlier this season. Burke also finished first in the 200-meter backstroke (2:08.05), while LaPoint won the 50- and 100-meter freestyles in :25.77 and :56.00 respectively.

Draper's record came in the 800-meter freestyle as he posted a winning time of 8:41.44. He broke a school record that stood since 1997 and a pool record that was set in 2011.
