9 Teams Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

The Empire 8 Athletic Conference had four men's and five women's swimming and diving teams chosen as College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for their academic work through the fall 2015 semester, as announced by the CSCAA.

Five hundred and forty-seven swimming and diving teams representing 354 colleges and universities across all divisions were named College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams. The award is presented to swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester/quarter. 

The Alfred University men were the highest ranking team among those from the conference on the list, with a cumulative team GPA of  3.28.  Stevens Institute of Technology had a 3.13 and Ithaca College and Nazareth College were tied with a 3.10. 

On the women's side, Nazareth posted the top Empire 8 ranking with a 3.41 grade-point average. Stevens (3.36), Ithaca (3.32), Alfred (3.16) and Hartwick (3.05) also made the academic list.
