Three E8 Schools Ranked in Fall Directors' Cup Standings
2015 Fall Standings
Stevens Institute of Technology heads the list of three Empire 8 schools found in the final fall standings of the 2015-16 Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup with 142 points. The Ducks are ranked 31st after making national tournament apparences in men's and women's soccer and field hockey.
Ithaca College sits in 52nd place with 104 points courtesy of national apparences by women's soccer, women's volleyball and men's cross country.
Hartwick College is tied at 133rd place with 25 points from its men's soccer team.
The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports -- nine women's and nine men's. The first Division III winter standings will be released mid-March.
