Midway through the fourth quarter, The College at Brockport football team was holding onto a seven point lead over Utica.  The Pioneers were facing first and goal from their own six-yard line, when sophomore Jake O'Connell intercepted a pass in the end zone and returned it 100-yards for his first career pick-six.  The play set a Brockport football record for longest interception returned for a touchdown, and tied the NCAA record.  O'Connell also tabbed three tackles, including one for loss, in Brockport's 35-28 win at Utica.

The play has received national recognition from HeroSports as a Play of the Week nominee. You can vote for it here.

The Golden Eagles will return home for their next two games to host Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland.  The Bombers come to town on Oct. 15 with kick off slated for 1 pm.  Homecoming weekend follows on Oct. 22 with kick off against Cortland at 3 pm.
