Stevens Places Fifth At Manhattanville
MAMARONECK, N.Y. (October 8, 2016) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men's golf team shot 319 Saturday at the Manhattanville Invitational to lock up a fifth-place finish.
The two-round tournament took place at Hampshire Country Club in Westchester. Combined with Friday's 328, Stevens finished with a 647.
Senior
Frank Szucs finished tops amongst Stevens golfers with a two-round total of 156 to place him in a tie for sixth. Szucs tallied four birdies for the weekend, shooting three-over par combined in both rounds on the back.
Sophomore
Tyler Balkema finished second on the Ducks and tied for 17th overall after shooting a team-leading 78 Saturday. Balkema shot two-over on the front, before a 41 on the back.
Sophomore
Ezekiel Zhao shot 79 Sunday keyed by a two-over 37 on the front, while sophomore
Jack Doherty carded an 81 for a two-round total of 165.
The Ducks will close out their fall schedule next weekend with the two-round Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic in Maryland.
