Brockports O-Line & Cortland's Alvarez Named to D3football.com Team of the Week
D3FOOTBALL.COM TEAM OF THE WEEK
The College at Brockport's dominant offensive line of Adan Barrientos, Caleb Ferdilus, James Grennan, Mark Sanchez, Justin Torres and Mike Ambrosio and SUNY Cortland's received national recognition this week, being named to the D3football.com National Team of the Week. This marks the sixth straight week, the Empire 8 is represented on the team.
The Golden Eagle offensive line paved the way for 361-yards rushing and four rushing touchdowns en route to a 35-28 conference win at Utica. The Green and Gold tabbed 433 yards of total offense and outrushed the Pioneers 361-77, averaging 6.6 yards per play.
Alvarez, who is also a starting offensive tackle for the Red Dragons, blocked two kicks versus the Bengals. He blocked a field goal attempt in the second quarter and he blocked a point-after kick in the third quarter.
