Women’s Cross Country at Hamilton Invite
COMPLETE RESULTS
CLINTON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College, Utica College and Hartwick College women's cross country teams finished third, sixth and ninth overall out of 11 schools at the Hamilton College Invitational on Saturday in Clinton, N.Y. At the 5K course on Hamilton's golf course, Division II East Stroudsburg University won the meet with 47 points.
East Stroudsburg's top two runners paced the field of 126 runners.
Ithaca was led by sophomore
Amanda St. Clair, who finished eighth overall in a time of 19:24.0, while senior
Tina Gibble followed close behind in ninth at 19:27.8.
Freshman
Sarah Rudge crossed next for the Bombers in 15th with a time of 19:35.0. Classmate
Colleen Smith completed the meet in 19:47.1.
Sophomore
Hailey Nase rounded out Ithaca's top five with a 30th place finish with a time of 20:24.4.
Freshman
Madelyn McConnon and
Lauren Hodge also ran competitive races with times of 20:33.7 and 20:37.5.
Sophomore
Kaitlyn Stinson was once again Utica's top finisher as she placed sixth out of 126 runners with a time of 19:21.8.
Sophomore
Renee Lewis was the second finisher for the Pioneers as she placed 21
st overall with a time of 19:55.5 and an average mile pace of 6:25. Junior
Makenna Cooley was right behind her with a time of 20:01.1. Freshman
Breanna Featherson clocked in at 20:46.6, followed by junior
Abby Schaible (20:52.0) to round out the top five finishers for UC.
Elsa Bock and freshman
Sarah Matys came in at 43
rd and 44
th, respectively, for Hartwick. Bock edged out her teammate by less than half a second with a time of 20:58.7. Matys crossed the finish line in 20:59.0.
Abby Cerne finished the 5k in 69
th place. Her final time was 21:48.2.
Tylisha Gourdine finished 80
th in 22:34.0.
