ITHACA, N.Y. – Jocelyn Ravesi tied a program record for the most goals scored in a single game as the Bombers, who wrapped up the home portion of their regular season on Tuesday, scored a season-high eight goals and cruised past Elmira College on Tuesday afternoon, 8-1, at Carp Wood Field.  The win moved Ithaca's overall mark to 9-2-2 and its conference record to 4-1-1 while the Soaring Eagles fell to 1-11-1 on the season and 0-6-0 against Empire 8 opponents.

Ravesi netted a career-best four goals in the win joining Jackie Rodabaugh and Rachael Palladino as the only players in Ithaca's storied history to have found the back of the net four times in one game.  The Bombers' eight goals eclipsed their previous season high set back on September 28 when they scored seven in a win at Utica.

The Bombers scored early and often beginning in the 10th minute when Holly Niemiec kicked a crossing pass to Ravesi who beat the Soaring Eagles' keeper to make it 1-0.  Nearly seven minutes later, Ravesi struck again after Emma Oliver tapped a ball out into the midfield setting up a breakaway goal for the Fulton native and a 2-0 Ithaca advantage.

Ithaca added to its lead in the 19th minute as Megan Nash corralled a loose ball in front of the net and buried it into the far corner to make it 3-0 in the Bombers' favor.  Just past the midway point of the opening half, Ravesi notched her third goal of the game as the senior forward deeked her defender inside the box before unleashing a strike past the keeper to give the Bombers a 4-0 lead.

Ithaca wasn't done there, however, as Shoshana Bedrosian got in on the action just five seconds before the halftime horn sounded when the sophomore received a pass from Sarah Pirnie and scored her fifth goal of the year.

Up by five goals to start the second half, Ithaca kept its foot on the gas.  Oliver teamed up with Ravesi again in the 50th minute as the sophomore forward found Ravesi on the far side for her fourth goal of the contest.

Ithaca's seventh goal of the game came in the 59th minute as Margaret Crowell sent a through ball to Jordyn Haynes whose crossing pass found Pirnie on the opposite side for her first goal of the season.  Crowell and Haynes were each credited with a helper on the play.

Shannon McMillian made it 8-0 in Ithaca's favor in the 62nd minute after taking a shot from the top of the box that was just out of the Soaring Eagles' keeper's reach with Mackenzie Hinchliffe earning an assist on the play.

Elmira would get on the board in the 81st minute with a shot from nearly 35-yeards out, but the damage had been done as Ithaca picked up its fourth win in conference play.

Three different keepers saw the field for the Bombers with Stacey DiGiorgio getting the start and her ninth win of the season.  She made two saves before giving way to Karen Macke and Sara Jokobsze who combined to make one stop in 45 minutes of play.
