ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College softball team will lend its support to the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes on Saturday Oct. 22 as the Bombers take part in the annual CRC's Walkathon and 5k at Cass Park.  As a team, the Bombers, who have taken part in this event for several years, raised over $3,700 last year and are hoping to top that mark this year.

The event begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday at Cass Park with the 5k run and two-mile fun walk starting at 10 a.m.  For a full summary of the event, along with information on parking, t-shirt orders and more, visit www.crcfl.net

The Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes is a local organization that serves individuals in and around Tompkins County so that no one has to face caner alone.  Since its inception in 1993, the CRC has offered services ranging from one-on-one support, wellness programs, financial advocacy and fundraising in an effort to sustain a community of support for people living with and affected by cancer.
