Regan Tabbed USTFCCCA Athlete Of The Week
HOBOKEN, N.J. (October 19, 2016) – Senior
Amy Regan of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country team was named
USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week Tuesday.
Regan claims National Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season, after placing first at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle Saturday. The senior turned in a time of 20:17.6, which not only set a PR, but also broke the course record.
The Green Brook, N.J. native bested the field by 11 seconds, and topped runners from No. 1 SUNY-Geneseo, No. 2 MIT, and No. 4 Johns Hopkins. It was the 12th straight against Division III competition that Regan has won.
