Stevens Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth
RESULTS
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (OCTOBER 1, 2016) – The No. 20 Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country team placed fifth at the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday.
"The women put up a good fight today against some great DIII teams," said Head Coach
Justin Wood. "There of the 4 teams ahead of us are nationally ranked and I'm sure Bates will move into the top 20 now. We will need to be a little further up by season's end but I'm happy with this as a first 6k effort."
The Ducks finished fifth with 158 points. Hope was first with 103 while Bates, Emory and St. Thomas (Minn.) rounded out the top five.
Senior
Amy Regan finished first for the third consecutive race she's ran, turning in a time of 20:55 in the 6K event. Regan bested the field by nearly 25 seconds. Sophomore
Mary Visca placed sixth, recording a time of 21:39.71, while senior
Kathleen Kalbian squeaked into the top-50, placing 50th in 23:12.14.

Kaela Earrusso was three seconds behind Kalbian, while sophomore
Kasey Suszko notched a time of 23:20.55, good for 58th. Freshman
Claire Tantillo narrowly missed a top-80 finish by 1.2 seconds, settling for 82nd.
