Saxons and Cardinals Ranked No. 1 & 3 Regionally

The NCAA released its first Division III football regional rankings of the season and Alfred University and St. John Fisher College is ranked number one and three, respectively, in the East. The rankings are based on all games played through Oct. 30.
 
The unbeaten Saxons (8-0, 6-0 Empire 8) are ranked 15th and 19th, respectively, in the D3football.com and American Football Coaches Association (ACFA) national Top 25 polls. AU sits atop the regional rankings ahead of second-ranked Stevenson (8-0, 14th D3football.com, 12thAFCA), third-ranked St. John Fisher (7-1, 23rd in both national polls), fourth-ranked Salisbury (7-1, 18th in both national polls), and fifth-ranked St. Lawrence (8-0, 16th D3football.com, 12th AFCA).
 
The top-ranked teams in the other three regions are: Mount Union (North), Mary Hardin Baylor (South), and Wisconsin-Whitewater (West).
