Alfred and Fisher in National Polls
The Alfred University and St. John Fisher College football teams are receiving recognition in the latest D3football.com poll and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) national Division III poll.
Alfred's position in the D3football.com poll remained unchanged following the Saxons' Empire 8 Conference victory over visiting Brockport on Saturday. AU, which improved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in league play with the 30-28 come-from-behind win, remains 15
th in the D3football.com Top 25 poll, which was released Sunday evening. None of the teams ranked ahead of the Saxons lost over the weekend.
Fisher moved up one spot to No. 23 following its 34-17 win against visiting Ithaca College on Saturday.
The Saxons moved up one place and is ranked 19th in in this week's AFCA poll, while the Cardinals stayed at No. 23 and Utica College is among teams also receiving votes.

The Saxons return to action Saturday, Nov. 5, at 1 p.m., when they travel to Utica for an Empire 8 Conference matchup.
Fisher will return to action on Nov. 5 and will host Hartwick College at 12 p.m.
