The Thanksgiving holiday limited action throughout the past week in E8 offerings, but those that did play showed very well on the hardwood. Those earning weekly honors for the week of Nov. 21-27 included...

Men’s Basketball Player – Hartwick
Jake Sinicki, Junior, Forward – Endicott, NY/Maine-Endwell
 
In the Harold Brodie Tournament, junior forward Jake Sinicki provided a career-high 32 points against the Wesleyan University in the 91-79 loss. Sinicki grabbed six boards in the fight also going 8-14 from the field and hitting 2-6 from long-range. In his follow up performance, the Endicott, NY native posted a 12-point, two assists, five rebounds and three blocks performance in a 95-72 victory over Clark Summit which earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
 
Men’s Basketball Rookie – Elmira
Jeremy Every, Freshman, Guard – Sacramento, CA/Bradshaw Christian
 
Jeremy Every averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists, while making one steal and shooting 47.4% from the field (9-of-19) at the Lexington Rochester Airport Hotel Tournament. Every matched his single-game high with 12 points in EC's opening-round win over Vassar, marking the second straight game the freshman guard had posted double-digit points. For his efforts, Every was named to the All-Tournament Team.
 
Women’s Basketball Player – Elmira
Danielle Clearly, Junior, Guard – Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy
 
Danielle Cleary averaged 22.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game, while shooting .432 from the field (16-of-37) with seven makes from 3-point range (7-of-18). Cleary began the week with a 19-point 10-rebound double-double on the road against Shenandoah; she also made three steals and three blocks in that game. Then in Elmira's home-opening win against Gallaudet, Cleary matched her season-high point total with 26, while totaling eight boards, six assists, four steals and two blocks.
 
Women’s Basketball Rookie – Alfred
Jessica Wilcox, Freshman, Guard – Forestville, NY/Pine Valley
 
First year Jessica Wilcox had back-to-back games of double-figure scoring in the Saxons’ 1-1 week with a win over Keuka on Tuesday. Wilcox broke her collegiate career-best twice this past week, having set her scoring at a high of 11 points back against SUNY Purchase, scoring 12 against Keuka and a new high of 13 against Hilbert College on Saturday evening. She shot 57.1% from the floor against Hilbert while making 3-of-4 from beyond the three-point arc. Wilcox was a perfect, 6-for-6 from the free-throw line on the week with four of them coming against Keuka. She added three assists against Keuka (one against Hilbert) and managed a steal and a rebound in both contests.
