CHANDLER, Ariz. --  Victory Sports Tours and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced that five Empire 8 student-athletes have been selected to play in the Victory Sports Tours/NFHCA Division III Senior Game.

Hartwick's Sarah Ryan, Ithaca's Colleen Keegan-Twombly and Katie Lass, Stevens Institute of Technology's Nolie Prouty and Washington & Jefferson's Amanda Steffey will be representing the Empire 8.

The NFHCA sponsors senior all-star games for all three NCAA divisions at the conclusion of each year. The Division III event is set to be hosted at William Smith College on Saturday, November 19. Start time for the event is 4:00 p.m.

In total, the NFHCA selects 72 student-athletes in their final year of eligibility at the collegiate level. The 72 athlete total is comprised of 60 players on the active roster of the event and 12 alternates should selected participants be unable to compete.

Ryan has been a staple on the midline and frontline for Hartwick this season. She leads the team with nine goals to compliment five assists helping 'Wick to its first post-season appearance since 2009. The Saratoga Springs, NY native has garnered 23 goals and 10 helpers in a Hartwick uniform to date.

Keegan-Twombly had an excellent season for the Bombers in 2016, setting a new career high with 34 points on 13 goals and eight assists. Her 2.27 points per game and 13 goals scored both ranked second in the conference, while she ranked third in points and tied for fourth in assists. The senior striker was held off the score sheet just three times during the year, while she posted six games with three-or-more points. Keegan-Twombly concludes her Ithaca career with 94 career points on 38 goals and 18 assists.

Lass also had a strong finish to her Ithaca career in 2016. She posted an 8-7 overall record with a 1.96 goals against average and .812 save percentage. She finished the year with 121 saves, bringing her career total to 476, which is the fourth-most in program history. She was named Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week during the final week of the regular season, after posting back-to-back shutouts over Brockport and Elmira. She marked four clean sheets on the year to bring her career total to 17.

Prouty leads the Ducks with 10 goals and nine assists this season as she's fired a team-high 66 shots, and 36 shots on goal. The captain has started all 18 games, and currently sits sixth in the E8 in total points.

Steffey currently holds the W&J career record for assists with 26. The senior has appeared in 73 games in her career, making 72 starts, and ranks second in Presidents' history with 46 goals and 118 points. Through 17 matches this season, she has reached double digits in goals for the third-straight season with 12, and also holds a career-high 12 assists. Her 0.71 assists per game top the Empire 8 conference and rank ninth in NCAA Division III.

Hartwick senior keeper, Shannon Carter , was selected as one of 12 alternates. Alternates would take the spot of student-athletes who have been selected as participants but are unable to compete in the Senior Game.
