Chimera and Bean Named to COSIDA Academic All-District Team

Aimee Chimera of the Ithaca College women's soccer team and
Carly Bean of the Stevens Institute of Technology women's soccer team were named to the 2016 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District Team on Thursday in recognition of their combined performances in the classroom and on the field of play.
Chimera, who was one of just 11 student-athletes from District III and Bean was one of 13 student-athletes from District II. Both athletes will now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot with first, second and third teams being announced November 18.
?The CoSIDA academic honors program takes into consideration excellence in the classroom and on the playing field. Student-athletes are eligible if they have a grade point average of at least 3.30.
Chimera has delivered in the classroom with a 3.78 grade-point average as a Integrated Marketing Communications major.
Bean currently has a 3.91 grade point average as an electrail engineering major.
