Stevens Women’s Cross Country Wins ECAC

RESULTS

MILTON, N.Y. (November 5, 2016)
– The Stevens Institute of Technology women's cross country team captured its first ever ECAC Championship Saturday for the Mid-Atlantic Region.  

Vassar placed second with 84 points, while William Smith came in third with 114 in the 14-team field. 

Sophomore Jackie Endres paced the Ducks with a fifth place overall time of 25:10.8, while sophomore Paige Metzheiser took seventh at 25:17.0. Junior Katie Brodecki placed 12th with a time of 25:44.5, and junior Laura Logan ran a race of 26:24.1.

Overall, Stevens placed five runners in the top 25.

"Today was a really fun day for the athletes," head coach Justin Wood said. "They stepped up and took advantage of a great opportunity, it's a proud day for Stevens cross country." 

The Ducks will be back in action next Saturday with the NCAA East Regional.
