Stevens To Host NCAA's; Naz Receives At-Large Bid

The Empire 8 will have two women's soccer teams competing in the NCAA Tournament. Stevens earned the automatic bid by viture of winning the E8 title and Nazareth College received an at-large berth to the 64-team field.

The tournament appearance will be the ninth in program history for the Ducks (18-1-0), and second in-a-row after the team advanced to the Sweet 16 last November. Stevens will face Colby Sawyer in its first-round matchup Saturday at 5 p.m.

On the other side of the bracket, Middlebury will play MIT for the right to play either Stevens or Colby Sawyer in Sunday's second round at 5 p.m.

The Golden Flyers (14-3-2 overall) earned their 10th tournament berth and will travel to Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio to play the Tigers (13-4-2) Saturday at a time to be determined Tuesday. Carnegie Mellon (11-5-1) and Penn State Berks (17-3-1) will also play Saturday with the winners playing Sunday to advance to the round of 16.

Nazareth last competed in the NCAAs in 2014 and eliminated two opponents to advance to the round of 16 before losing at Messiah.
