Ithaca Heads to Brockport; Stevens Earns At-Large and Hosts

The Empire 8 will have two women's volleyball teams competing in the NCAA Tournament. Ithaca earned the automatic bid by viture of winning the E8 title and Stevens Institute of Technology received an at-large berth to the 64-team field.
Ithaca will not have to travel far, as it will head to Brockport, N.Y., for the first three rounds of NCAA Regional play. The Bombers will face Middlebury (18-18) in the opening round on Friday, November 11, with match time slated for 5:30 p.m. at Brockport's Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium. The winner will play at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday with the region's final match slated for Sunday, November 13, at 2:00 p.m.
Joining Ithaca and Middlebury are the host Golden Eagles, Gallaudet University, Emory, New Rochelle, Susquehanna and Clarkson.
Stevens will host the Hoboken Regional starting Friday.
The Ducks will face off against Regis Friday at 8 p.m. for the right to play in round two Saturday at 4 p.m. Sunday's regional final will take place at 1 p.m. in Canavan Arena
Hunter, Clark, Montclair St., Farmingdale, Ramapo and Eastern will comprise the remainder of the regional bracket.
The tournament appearance will be the ninth in program history for Stevens, and the first since 2014 when the Ducks also earned the right to host.
