Men’s Basketball Player – Nazareth
Tyler Stenglein, Junior, Guard – Rochester, NY/Irondequoit
Tyler Stenglein averaged 21 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a 1-1 week for Nazareth. He tallied 24 points (9-for-18), six boards and dished out three assists in an 88-76 defeat to Lycoming on Friday. Stenglein came back out Saturday to deliver 18 points (7-for-18), seven rebounds and four assists in an 87-79 win over SUNY Potsdam.
Men’s Basketball Rookie – Elmira
Kyle McCreery, Freshman, Forward – Wurtsboro, NY/Monticello
In just 17 minutes of playing time off of the bench against Catholic University, first-year forward Kyle McCreery dropped 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the field, including a 2-for-2 mark from 3-point range. He also grabbed two rebounds on the defensive glass and dished out one assist. McCreery's 10 points are the second-highest single-game total of his rookie season.
