Girardi Set Two School Records
The St. John Fisher College men's indoor track and field team placed third overall out of 17 teams at the at Brockport Golden Eagle Invitational on Saturday.
The Cardinals tallied 74points over the two-day event that started on Friday with the first four events of the heptathlon.
Sophomore
Peter Girardi led the way for the Cardinals, winning the 60-meter hurdles and the 500. Girardi's time of 8.25 seconds in the hurdles set a new Fisher record and marks the seventh-fastest time this year in Division III. He also set a Fisher record with a time of 1:07.70 in the 500.
Senior
Kyle Koehler won the shot put, setting a new Meet-Record with a distance of 16.01 meters.
Freshman
Ross Mathewson set a new Fisher record in the weight throw, going 14.35 meters, good for eighth place.
