BOSTON, Mass. –
Sophomore Taryn Cordani of the Ithaca College women's indoor track & field team broke the school record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:54.31 at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic on Friday evening. The previous best time of 9:55.10 was set back on March 8, 1992 by Ann Marie DelSignore – a national champion that year in the 5K.

Cordani finished 25th overall in the event and is currently the third fastest time in Division III.

Junior Katherine Pitman won the pole vault over 33 entries, tying her school record mark of 3.90 meters (12 feet, 9.5 inches). Two other DI athletes reached 3.90 meters in the event.
