Girardi Wins 60-meter Hurdles; Fisher Enjoys Best Finish At State Championship
The St. John Fisher College men's indoor track and field team enjoyed its best finish at the 2016 New York State Collegiate Track Championship on Saturday. The Cardinals tallied 66 points over the two-day event, setting a new College-record for total points scored, while placing sixth overall for the second straight year.
Sophomore
Peter Girardi won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.37 seconds, earning 10 points for the Cardinals.
Senior
Kyle Koehler earned eight points, finishing second overall in the shot put.
Bryan Rollins qualifies for ECACs and placed second overall in the high jump, clearing 1.93 meters.
Senior
Trevor Wilkes took fourth in the 400, finishing in 50.87 seconds.
Senior
Joe D'Agostino places fourth in the 60 finals, finishing in 7.18 seconds. He was also fifth the 200 at 22.58 seconds.
Mark VanMarter finishes fifth in the triple jump at 13.40 meters.
In the men's one mile,
James Felice placed fourth overall at 4:21.06, while
McQuade Milligan was seventh in the event.
Fisher's 4X800 relay team of Felice,
Luke Dunkelberg, Milligan and
Jack Behlmaier placed sixth with a time of 8:08.29, good enough to set a Fisher record and qualify for ECACs.
