Ithaca Women’s Track & Field Claims NYSCTC Title!

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's track & field team won another NYSCTC crown on Saturday in Glazer Arena with 216.5 points. It is Ithaca's 15 state title and junior
Katherine Pitman was named field athlete of the meet after her performance in the pole vault on Friday.
Senior
Amber Edwards won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.10 seconds, and was followed by freshman Gianna Foltz in fourth at 9.48 seconds and senior
Allie Nugent in fifth with a time of 9.60 seconds.

Eliza Dewart, sophomore
Sophia Feuer, freshman
Britney Swarthout and junior
Colleen Smith placed third in the event in 4:06.86.
Feuer also claimed the 500-meter dash title in 1:17.96, while Swarthout finished fourth in a time 1:21.70.
Senior
Sarah Werner was a runner-up in the 60-meter dash with a time 7.90 seconds. Classmate
Lizzi Dowling was fourth in the event at 8.09 seconds, and freshman
Lusmer Quintana clocked 8.10 seconds to follow in fifth.

Emilie Mertz took second in 9:38.96.
Sophomore
Taryn Cordani took third in the mile with a time of 5:00.24, while senior
Rachelle Sartori came in eighth at 5:16.60. Grazia also placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:18.64 and Mertz was fifth in 2:20.61.
Cordani was a runner-up in the 3,000-meter run at 10:20.82, while Sartori also competed in the 1,000-meter run and finished seventh in 3:07.55. Sophomore
Denise Ibarra ran the 3K in 10:41.91 to place eighth. Lynn placed eighth in the 800 at 2:23.42.
Dewart completed the 400-meter dash in third overall at 59.87 seconds and
Colleen Smith finished in 1:00.85 to take sixth. Werner and Dewart would place 2-3 in the 200-meter dash in times of 26.21 and 26.23 seconds, while freshman
Reid Simoncini was seventh at 27.24 seconds.
Junior
Natalie Meyer was third in the high jump at 1.58 meters, while sophomore
Brianna Hayes took seventh at 1.48 meters and Folz was eighth at the same height.
Junior
Brandy Smith claimed fourth in the shot put with a distance of 12.67 meters, and was followed by sophomore
Charis Lu in fifth at 12.01 meters. Junior
Francesca Boylan also competed in the shot put and placed eighth at 11.39 meters.
Senior
Christine Kelly leaped 10.45 meters in the triple jump to take seventh overall.
