Stevens and Fisher Headed to NCAA Tournament

Stevens Institute of Technology and St. John Fisher College will represent the Empire 8 in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Ducks earned an automatic bid to the tournament after winning the conference championship Saturday, while the Cardinals were awarded an at-large bid. 

Stevens will serve as host for the First and Second Rounds this coming weekend March 4-5. In the first game on Friday, SUNY-Geneseo will take Fairleigh Dickinson University at Florham Park at 6 p.m. The Ducks will battle SUNY-Old Westbury in the second game Friday at 8 p.m. The two first round winners will meet on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Fisher will take on host Muhlenberg College on Friday in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Championship. The winner of the Fisher/Muhlenberg game will play either St. Josephs, Maine or Christopher Newport on Saturday in the Second Round with the winner advancing to the Sweet 16.
