Wiatr Wins Triple Jump at NYSCTC Championships
The Utica women's track and field team completed the second and final day of the NYSCTC Championships hosted by Ithaca College. The women's team placed 11
th out of 13 teams with 20.5 points.
Senior Sarah Wiatr won the triple jump with a jump of 11.80 meters to highlight the day.
The 4x800 meter relay consisting of Jenessa McCabe, Kaitlyn Stinson, Brooke Catalano and Kaitlyn Phillips placed seventh with a time of 10:07.84. The 4x400 meter relay consisting of Megan Christina, Abby Schaible, Mike Maxwell and Renee Lewis took eighth place with a time of 4:18.15. Maxwell also placed seventh in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.66. Wiatr took sixth place in the 60 meter dash (8.13).
